Happy to announce my group’s latest publication on developing graphene-leaf devices that can monitor plant hydration while providing neural network in-sensor compute capabilities. Led by PhD. student Utkarsh Misra, and a collaboration with Dmitry Kireev, Deji Akinwande, and Ashley Matheny. This project was supported by #NSF and by a UT Austin Associate Professors Experience (#APX) seed grant.
I like to imagine we could someday have a neural network of trees with such technology, for forest health monitoring and wildfire prevention.
